Pantone has described this year’s 2017 Colour of the Year “Greenery” as a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors.
Greenery by Oscar de la Renta
Born in the Dominian Republic Oscar de la Renta was a world-renowned fashion designer, revered for his couture-like ready-to-wear collections that have provided many a show-stopping moment on the red carpet.
After launching his eponymous line in 1965, the designer developed successful bridal, fragrance and homeware collections that established his reputation as one of the most successful and respected designers in the industry, with his exquisite designs having been worn by everyone from Jacqueline Kennedy, to modern starlets such as Gisele Bundchen, Ann Hathaway and Liv Tyler.
Peridot - Green Olivine Gemstone
The peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is special to me because it is my birthstone!
Peridots are transparent with a distinct oily luster. Peridot’s color can be described as yellow-green, green with a golden tone, olive or bottle green, deep chartreuse, or simply a brilliant light green. The proportion of iron present causes the shade and depth of the green of a peridot stone; the deeper the green, the smaller the amount of iron present.
Peridots make a bold and majestic statement.

Works by Robert Adam, Interior Architect
Robert Adam was one of the most important eighteenth century British architects working in the Neo-classical style. He was a main force in the development of a unified style that extended beyond architecture and interiors to include both the fixed and moveable objects in a room. He incorporated design ideas from ancient Greece and Rome into his forms and decoration. His famous London houses include Headfort House, Kenwood House, Osterley Park and Syon House.
Headfort House is a large country house on the southern outskirts of Kells in County Meath, Ireland. In 2004, the house was selected by the World Monuments Fund (WMF) for inclusion in its List of 100 Most Endangered Sites.

Imagined as bare rock surrounding a waterfall, the plants were laid out in an organic, linear pattern - like fissures and cracks in exposed rock forms the perfect framework to sustain the living garden..
